General information
The Privacy Policy contains general information regarding the processing of personal data by Łukasz Sabat, conducting business activity under the name Łukasz Sabat Law Firm (hereinafter: “Sabat & Associates”), and the protection of the privacy of current and potential clients (business contacts), suppliers, and persons wishing to commence or conducting cooperation with Sabat & Associates.Associates”), of personal data and the protection of the privacy of current and potential clients (business contacts), suppliers and persons wishing to start or conduct cooperation with Sabat&Associates, including persons visiting the website www.sabat.com.pl (hereinafter: “Website”).
Personal data collected by Sabat&Associates is processed in accordance with the provisions of personal data protection regulations, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (“GDPR”) and in Polish regulations issued in connection with the GDPR, including the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (Journal of Laws 2019, item 1781, as amended).
Sabat&Associates processes the personal data of contractors (including clients) and business contacts to the extent and for the purpose of establishing and maintaining business relationships (including by sending its own marketing materials), performing contracts binding on the parties, in particular in the field of legal assistance, and performing the statutory obligations incumbent on the controller.

Basis for data processing
Sabat&Associates processes personal data:
on the basis of the consent of the data subject,
when processing is necessary for the performance of a contract concluded by Sabat&Associates with the data subject or for Sabat&Associates to take action at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract,
when processing is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation incumbent on Sabat&Associates as the data controller,
when processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person,
when processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by Sabat&Associates or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data.
As a rule, the basis for the processing of personal data of the Company’s contractors is the performance of contracts binding on the parties or the taking of action by Sabat&Associates at the request of the data subject prior to the conclusion of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR). The processing of personal data of representatives and employees of Sabat&Associates is based on the legitimate interest of Sabat&Associates or that contractor (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), consisting in enabling the conclusion of a contract and its subsequent performance.
Categories of personal data processed
Sabat&Associates processes in particular the following categories of personal data:
first name(s) and surname (or company name)
address,
telephone number,
e-mail address,
Personal Identification Number (PESEL),
tax identification number (NIP),
REGON number,
bank account number.
Sabat&Associates may also process other categories of personal data if it is necessary for the specific purpose of personal data processing and is in accordance with applicable data protection regulations.
Processing of special categories of personal data
Sabat&Associates may process personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, as well as genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of identifying a natural person, and data concerning the health, sexuality or sexual orientation of that person, as well as data concerning criminal convictions and offences or related security measures, only in cases expressly specified in Articles 9 and 10 of the GDPR or other specific legal provisions.
Rights of data subjects
Every person whose personal data is processed by Sabat & Associates has the right to control the processing of their personal data, and in particular the right to:
obtain comprehensive information on whether their personal data is being processed, and to receive information on the full name and address of the company’s registered office,
obtain information about the purpose, scope, method and categories of personal data being processed,
obtain information on when their personal data is processed and to receive the content of such data in a commonly understood form,
obtain information about the source from which their personal data originates,
obtain information about the manner in which personal data is made available, in particular information about the recipients or categories of recipients to whom such personal data is made available,
request the completion, updating, rectification of personal data, temporary or permanent suspension of its processing or its deletion if it is incomplete, outdated, untrue or has been collected in violation of personal data protection regulations or is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
Persons whose data is processed by Sabat&Associates on the basis of the legitimate interest of the controller have the right to object to the processing of their personal data.
At the request of the data subject, Sabat&Associates is obliged to provide the information indicated above in a commonly understood form within a maximum of 30 days from the date of receipt of the request.
In addition, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint regarding the processing of personal data by Sabat&Associates with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
Transfer of data to third parties
Sabat&Associates is entitled to disclose personal data to other entities when it has the consent of the data subject. Furthermore, Sabat&Associates is entitled to disclose personal data when there is another reason provided for in the provisions of the GDPR, on the basis of which such disclosure is permissible and lawful, in particular when the disclosure of personal data to another entity is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party.
